LEBANON – A Trotwood woman will appear in the Lebanon Municipal Court tomorrow afternoon after she was arrested this morning by Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers for conveying illegal drugs onto the grounds of the Lebanon Correctional Institution.
Troopers charged Amanda M. McCloskey, 23, with illegal conveyance onto the grounds of a correctional facility, a third-degree felony, and possession of criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony.
Troopers and Department of Rehabilitation and Correction investigators obtained information that McCloskey planned to convey illegal drugs into the Lebanon Correctional Institution. Troopers arrested her at 8:45 a.m. today after a search revealed six balloons containing one gram of cocaine and five grams of marijuana on her person.
McCloskey was incarcerated at the Warren County Jail. If convicted, she could face up to six years in prison and a $12,500 fine.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol investigates criminal activity on state owned and/or leased property.
