WARREN – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the death of Trumbull Correctional Institution inmate Major Lee that occurred Saturday night.

Highway Patrol investigators were contacted Saturday at 8:58 p.m. by the Trumbull Correctional Institution and advised that Lee, 35, was found dead in his cell. Lee was in the cell with his cellmate.

Lee was transported to the Saint Joseph’s Medical Center in Warren, where he was pronounced dead at 10:14 p.m.

An autopsy was scheduled for Sunday morning at the Trumbull Memorial Hospital, to be conducted by the Trumbull County Coroner’s Office.

Results of the autopsy are still pending, and the Patrol’s investigation is continuing.
