Lebanon Correctional Institution officer arrested for illegal drug conveyance
COLUMBUS – A Lebanon Correctional Institution officer is scheduled to appear in Lebanon Municipal Court today after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers arrested him yesterday for attempting to convey drugs into the Lebanon Correctional Institution.

Troopers charged Jamey E. Vincent, 29, with attempting to convey drugs onto the grounds of a detention facility, a third-degree felony, and possession of criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony.

Troopers and Department of Rehabilitation and Correction investigators obtained information that Vincent was working with inmates to bring drugs into the Lebanon Correctional Institution. Vincent was arrested at 1:30 p.m. yesterday after he surrendered to troopers two chewing tobacco containers containing approximately one-half ounce of marijuana discovered during a search warrant.

Vincent was incarcerated in the Warren County Jail. If convicted, he could face up to seven years in prison and a $15,000 fine.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol investigates criminal activity on state-owned and leased property.
