Public’s assistance sought on escaped Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare patient

NORTHFIELD– The Ohio State Highway Patrol is seeking the public’s assistance in locating an escaped patient, who escaped from the Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare facility in Northfield last night.

Patrol investigators said Kyle E. Bunts was a patient at the Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare Center located at 1756 Sagamore Road in Northfield in Summit County. He was committed to the facility after being found not guilty by reason of insanity on aggravated arson charges out of Summit County.

Bunts had ground privileges from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. He was last seen at approximately 7:15 p.m.

Bunts is a white male, 6’00, weighing 175 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes. His last known address was 640 Falls Avenue in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He was last seen wearing beige pants and a beige polo shirt over a beige long-sleeve shirt.

Bunts has a history of domestic violence and improper handling of a firearm. Due to his violent past, he should be considered armed and dangerous.
