Escaped patient Kyle E. Bunts apprehended

CUYAHOGA FALLS – Escaped Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare patient, Kyle E. Bunts, was apprehended at 5:54 p.m. today in the city of Cuyahoga Falls.

A Cuyahoga Falls police officer spotted Bunts this afternoon at 1160 Front Street, in an area known as The Gorge Park. The officer stopped Bunts, and he surrendered without incident. Bunts has been returned to the Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare facility located at 1756 Sagamore Road in Northfield in Summit County.

Bunts is a patient at the Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare Center. He was committed to the facility after being found not guilty by reason of insanity on aggravated arson charges out of Summit County. He had ground privileges from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and was last seen prior to his escape at approximately 7:15 p.m. on Oct. 5.
