Patrol reports holiday weekend less deadly than last year

COLUMBUS - The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported 14 people were killed over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend in traffic crashes on Ohio roads, as compared with 22 people killed last year. That is a 36 percent drop in fatalities over the 2006 Thanksgiving weekend. As of November 25, 1,092 people have been killed on Ohio roadways, as compared with 1,117 people killed for the same time period in 2006.

The following Ohio traffic fatalities are for the weekend of Nov.21 from 12:01 a.m. through Nov. 25 at Midnight.

A double fatality occurred at 6:55 a.m. on State Route 37 in Licking County on Nov. 23.
