Visitor at Warren Correctional arrested for illegal drug conveyance

LEBANON – A Maineville woman is scheduled to appear in Lebanon Municipal Court today after troopers arrested her for attempting to convey narcotics into the Warren Correctional Institution.

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers charged Pauline Pitman, 50, with attempting to convey drugs onto the grounds of a detention facility, a third-degree felony. She was also charged with possession of criminal tools and possession of drugs, both fifth-degree felonies.

Department of Rehabilitation and Correction investigators along with state troopers gathered information and determined Pitman was actively involved in conveying drugs into Warren Correctional Institution. Pitman was arrested Saturday afternoon attempting to convey marijuana and valium tablets into the institution.

Pitman was incarcerated in the Warren County Jail. If convicted, she could face seven years in prison and a $15,000 fine.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol investigates criminal activity on state owned and leased property.
