Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run Tomorrow

29th Year of the Ohio Law Enforcement Torch Run

What:              Runners and walkers will complete the final leg of the Special Olympics Torch Run in this 3.1 mile run and
                       walk. Participants will be escorted by the Columbus Police Department and the Ohio State Highway Patrol   
                       Motorcycle Unit.

When:              Friday, June 26, 2015, 6:00 p.m.

Where:             Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy, 740 East 17th Avenue to
                       The Ohio State University’s Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium
                       2450 Fred Taylor Drive

Who:               Personnel from various law enforcement agencies    
                       Volunteers      

Personnel from law enforcement agencies and volunteer runners and walkers will complete the last leg of the Special Olympics Torch Run, which will conclude at the Special Olympics Opening Ceremony festivities. The run and walk will begin at the Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy and end at The Ohio State University’s Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium, where the 2015 Special Olympics – Ohio State Summer Games will take place June 26-28.

This is the 29th year of the Ohio Law Enforcement Torch Run, which is the single largest fund-raising initiative for Special Olympics Ohio. For more information about Special Olympics Ohio, please visit www.sooh.org.
