Lamar Advertising Company to receive Patrol’s Partners for Safety Award

YOUNGSTOWN – The Ohio State Highway Patrol presented Youngstown’s Lamar Advertising Company with the Partners for Safety Award earlier today in Girard.

Lieutenant Colonel Kevin D. Teaford, Assistant Superintendent of the Patrol, and Ohio Department of Public Safety Director John Born expressed their gratitude for the support before presenting the award to Lamar Advertising Vice President and General Manager Bob Schneider.

Lamar Advertising partnered with the Patrol on education campaigns on billboards across the state, which shows a commitment to public safety and dedication to raising public awareness of traffic safety issues. The Patrol’s Partners for Safety Award recognizes local level partnerships that aid in the development of community groups, health and safety organizations, law enforcement agencies, schools, and state and local programs, to make Ohio a safer state.

“The Patrol is grateful for the partnership with Lamar Advertising Company, and for their support in promoting public safety and raising awareness of safety issues,” Lieutenant Colonel Teaford said. “Together, we can further our service to our community.”

Previous award recipients include Honda of America Manufacturing, Inc., Pizza Hut, the American Motorcyclist Association, AK Steel, the Cincinnati Bengals, the University of Cincinnati Bearcats, Mid-Ohio School and PNC Bank.
