Patrol to honor fallen officers and support personnel at memorial ceremony


What:             The Ohio State Highway Patrol will recognize and honor 40 officers, an enforcement
                      agent and five support personnel killed in the line of duty with a memorial ceremony
                      Friday.

When:             Friday, May 5, 1 p.m.

Where:            Patrol Training Academy
                      740 East 17th Avenue
                      Columbus, OH 43211

Who:              Colonel Paul A. Pride, Patrol Superintendent
                      R/Major Robert W. Booker, President Ohio State Highway Patrol Retirees Association
                      Reverend Richard D. Ellsworth, Ohio State Highway Patrol Chaplain 
                      Families, friends and colleagues of fallen officers and support staff


The Ohio State Highway Patrol will recognize and honor 40 officers, an enforcement agent and five support personnel killed in the line of duty since the Division’s establishment in 1933. Family members of the fallen personnel as well as former and current Patrol employees will join in observance of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
