motorcycle ride for Motorcycle Awareness Month -
Motorcyclists, including many off-duty state
troopers
who are avid motorcyclists,
departed from the OSHP Academy and rode to the Motorcycle Hall
of Fame Museum to kick-off Motorcycle Awareness Month and the
new partnership between the AMA and the Patrol.

The connection between the Patrol
and the AMA goes back to 1933 when the Patrol was created.
Jim Davis (featured on poster), was instrumental in forming
a motorcycle division within the Patrol and was also a world
champion racer. He later became involved with the AMA as a
